About

Who knew a kid with an informatics degree from ITB would end up... well, here? Certainly not me! Life, in its magnificent, messy way, has a knack for steering us down unexpected paths, some paved, some incredibly rocky. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve probably discovered that the most breathtaking views often emerge after a particularly grueling uphill climb. This blog? It's my little digital campfire, where I try to make sense of it all, sharing the lessons I've picked up (often after stumbling a few times), the questions that keep me pondering, and hopefully, connecting with a few kindred spirits along the way.

From Binary Code to Business Wisdom

My journey began deep in the world of algorithms and data structures, fueled by late-night coding sessions and a slightly-too-much instant noodle diet during my Informatics Engineering days at ITB. It was a fascinating maze, really, and those early analytical chops, believe it or not, still form the backbone of how I approach complex problems today. Though, if you were to ask me to debug a line of code now, I’d probably just blink at you, offer a coffee, and sheepishly admit my fingers haven’t quite remembered the syntax. Times, they do change, don’t they?

That technical foundation evolved, beautifully, into something more expansive with an MBA from KAIST. It was a pivotal chapter, shifting my perspective from the granular mechanics to the grand orchestration of strategy and creativity. Imagine swapping a developer’s console for a conductor’s baton, learning to weave disparate elements into a harmonious, impactful whole.

This journey ultimately led me to Suitmedia, a creative digital consulting firm in Jakarta. Here, I have the immense privilege of leading a brilliant team, navigating the ever-shifting digital tides, and helping businesses not just survive, but truly flourish. It’s a constant, exhilarating dance of innovation, problem-solving, and yes, sometimes just trying to understand what the kids are doing on TikTok without looking utterly clueless. It's a role that demands constant learning, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Chasing Sunrises, Conquering Doubts

Then there’s running. Oh, running! What started as a casual experiment, a misguided attempt to get fit, perhaps, morphed into a full-blown, undeniable love affair. There's a raw, unvarnished honesty to putting one foot in front of the other, mile after mile, stripping away all the noise of the day until it's just you, your breath, and the relentless rhythm of your stride. It's where I find clarity, forge resilience, and occasionally question my life choices when faced with a particularly steep incline.

Since 2023, my running shoes have become my most trusted travel companions, racking up an impressive number of kilometers across some truly incredible landscapes. I've had the immense joy (and, let's be utterly frank, the occasional, soul-crushing agony) of crossing marathon finish lines in the bustling streets of Tokyo, the vibrant energy of Bandung (twice!), the historic aura of Borobudur, the tropical beauty of Bali (twice!), the concrete jungle of Jakarta (twice!), and the familiar grounds of UI Depok. Yes, I confess, there might be a slight, undeniable addiction to the feeling of that medal around my neck, a tangible reminder of defying what I once thought were my absolute limits.

But apparently, just marathons weren't quite enough for my adventurous (or perhaps just plain stubborn) spirit. So, I took the plunge into the majestic, often grueling, and always humbling world of ultra trails. These past couple of years have seen me tackle the formidable BTR 50K, BDG 64K, SLU 50K, CTC 80K, SMR 50K, and DTR 60K. Each one was a profound lesson, a masterclass in moving forward when every fiber of your being screams for a comfortable couch, a warm blanket, and maybe a small team of sherpas. The views from those mountain summits? Absolutely priceless, a reward that makes every blister and every moment of doubt melt away. And the feeling of crossing that finish line, battered, bruised, but beaming? Unforgettable. Running, especially the ultras, has taught me that my perceived limits are often just suggestions, and that the sheer, stubborn will to keep moving, even when crawling, can carry you further than you ever imagined. It’s a journey of deep appreciation, for my body, for the raw beauty of nature, and for the incredible strength we often forget we possess.

Beyond the Finish Line

Beyond the boardrooms and the winding trails, my heart finds profound satisfaction in giving back, particularly through education-related programs. I firmly believe that education is the most powerful catalyst for change, a seed that, once planted and nurtured, can blossom into incredible opportunities and brighter futures. Being able to contribute, even in a small way, to empowering young minds is a privilege I hold dear. It’s a powerful reminder that true success isn't just about what we achieve for ourselves, but about how we help lift others along the way.

So, what can you expect from this little corner of the internet? A candid blend of everything that makes my world spin: strategic insights on the ever-evolving landscapes of marketing, technology, and business, seasoned with personal reflections on life, the intricate dance of leadership, the agony and ecstasy of running, and the quiet, deep satisfaction of volunteering.

I promise to be honest, sometimes vulnerable, often reflective, and hopefully, occasionally humorous (especially when recounting my inevitable blunders). My aim isn't to offer cheesy, saccharine inspiration, but rather the gritty, "I survived and learned a thing or two along the way" kind. Think of this as a space for thoughtful conversations, shared experiences, and a realistic dose of optimism for the journey ahead.

Thank you for dropping by. I'm genuinely delighted you're here, sharing a moment around this digital campfire. Feel free to reach out, share your own stories, or just say hello. The journey continues, and it’s always, always better with good company.
